In the
first game of the night, Florida's height and numbers outlasted Auburn,
79-73.
In
the second game, Duke squandered a 14-point lead, going ice cold over the
final 10 minutes, before falling to Houston, 70-67. The
national player-of-the-year Cooper Flagg had a chance to give Duke the lead
with 4 seconds to go but left a 10-footer from the front of the rim just
short just like their season.
Duke
should have found an extra $200,000 to boost Flagg's $4.8 million NIL deal
over the $5 million mark. Maybe that would have
bought those extra few inches needed on that shot and chance at a national
championship.
I
know, I know. I'm being hard on Duke.
We
all feel a little sorry for Duke.
