The first game on Wednesday was just not going to be good when American's star forward Matt Rogers left the game in the first half after twice injuring his right knee. American could no longer hang with Mount St. Mary's after Rogers exit, especially when Mount guard Xavier Lipscomb finished with 17 points after starting the game with a three.

Tell me why Xavier Lipscomb is playing for Mount St. Mary's and not playing for Xavier or Lipscomb???

Anway, Mount St. Mary's beat Xavier, 83-72, and now gets to play Duke. Good for you.

The second game between Tennessee and Xavier seemed like it was going to be a snoozer when Texas had a 13-point lead midway through the first half and held the lead up until about 7 minutes left in the second half.

Then we had a game.

And I could not help but look at Texas's head coach Rodney Terry in that moment and think it was Gus Fring from Breaking Bad looking very worried.

He should be worried.

Texas lost to Xavier, 86-80.

Now Terry has to answer to the Texas fans and the Texas Athletic Department for losing in a First Four game.

Texas's loss means the SEC is now 0-1, and we didn't even really get started.
