The last
of four games on Thursday night was scheduled to tipoff at 10:09pm ET. That
time came and went before the actual tipoff. Whatever
happened to wrapping up the game coverage before the 11pm local news? Almost
half of the US population lives in the Eastern time zone.
Combine
Eastern and Central, and we are talking about 77% of the US population. The
Sweet 16 schools are located in these time zones: Eastern
(7): UConn, UNC, Clemson, Duke, NC State, Purdue, Tennessee Central
(6): Alabama, Illinois, Iowa St, Houston, Marquette, Creighton Mountain
(1): Arizona Pacific
(2): Gonzaga, San Diego St How
about we at least schedule these games to get done on the same day in the
Eastern time zone, maybe just move them up by one hour. |
